These handmade industrial bicycles have been manufactured for Staller Industries with a galvanized finish. Galvanizing is a durable metal plating usually used for light poles and cyclone fencing. While the utility and practicality of this finish is obvious, to my knowledge this is the first application of galvanizing to a bicycle. For a city bike, the NYCYCLE offers incredible durability. Here is a bike which needs no pampering; galvanizing allows the bike to be left outside indefinitely without rusting, its zinc finish actually heals scratches. Our included heavy duty chain and lock is the strongest available, meaning this bike can be left without worry of theft. NYCYCLE is equipped with puncture resistant tires made with the same materials of bullet proof vests-Kevlar. NYCYCLE is a single speed bike, (the flat terrain of NYC can be traveled with ease) with coaster brakes and motorcycle strength alloy rims.
